The Baklawa Care & Serving Guide
The Baklawa Care & Serving Guide
Preservation & Storage
To enjoy Baklabox at its absolute best, the secret lies in the balance of temperature and texture. Our baklawa is made with fresh, premium ingredients and multiple layers of delicate filo pastry.
Storage: Room Temp is King
Unlike many desserts, baklawa should never be stored in the refrigerator. Cold temperatures can cause the sugar syrup to crystallize and make the delicate pastry layers go soft or soggy.
- Ambient Storage: Keep your box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Shelf Life: For the ultimate crunch, enjoy within 14 days. However, it remains delicious for up to 3 weeks if kept in the box.
Serving Suggestions
- The Crunch: Our baklawa is served in an individual casing and so either best eaten on its own or with another dessert such as a good Cornish vanilla ice cream.
- Pairings: Serve with unsweetened Turkish coffee or a bold Earl Grey tea to balance the natural sweetness. Also amazing when paired with a good Brandy or Armagnac.
